Knife and EDC Manufacturing — Scales, Liners and Full OEM

Titanium and G10 scales, liners, clips, pivots, stop pins, washers — and complete knife OEM from your drawing to a finished, assembled product. This is the one line where we build the whole thing rather than a component.

The three we hear most

Problems buyers bring us in this sector

Knife makers come to us with the same three problems, and they are all about feel rather than dimensions.

“The action does not feel right”

It is almost always the pivot bore, the washer stack and the detent — not the scales. Send a sample knife with the drawing and we will match the feel and tell you which dimension is doing it, so the next revision is a decision rather than a guess.

“The anodising colour is not what we asked for”

Titanium colour comes from voltage, but the shade also depends on the surface preparation underneath. Send a physical sample; we anodise a test piece, photograph it next to yours and get your approval before running the batch.

“We want one supplier for the whole knife”

Blade, scales, liners, hardware, heat treatment, finishing and assembly are coordinated here and delivered as a finished knife under your brand. Samples with no minimum, production once the design is settled.

Typical parts

What we make for knife and EDC brands

We have been machining knife components for years and this is where most of our repeat customers sit. Send a drawing, a CAD file, or a knife you want improved.

Handle scales

Titanium, aluminium, brass, copper and G10 scales with milled patterns, chamfers and contoured edges.

Liners and frames

Titanium and stainless liners with lock faces, detent pockets and relief cuts held to the drawing.

Pocket clips

Milled and formed titanium and stainless clips, anodised or stonewashed, with the spring set correct.

Pivots, stop pins and standoffs

Turned hardware where fit decides whether the action feels right.

Washers and bearings

Phosphor bronze and PTFE washers, bearing races and pivot hardware.

Full knife OEM

Blade, handle, hardware, finishing and assembly — one supplier, one invoice, your brand.

Materials and finishes

What these parts are usually made from

Titanium Gr.5 for scales and clips, G10 and carbon fibre where weight and grip decide it, stainless for hardware and blades.

What matters on these drawings

What we watch on a knife drawing

Machined component with milled serrations and precise slots, of the kind used in knife and EDC hardware

Typical requirements

Pivot fit, lock geometry and finish consistency

A knife is judged by how it feels, and that comes down to three things: the pivot bore and washer stack, the lock face geometry, and whether the finish is the same on every piece. Those are the dimensions we hold tightest, whatever else is on the drawing.

  • Pivot bore fitISO 286 IT6 achievable
  • Scale thickness tolerance±0.02 mm
  • Lock face angleHeld to the drawing
  • Achievable, milled±0.002 mm

Questions

What buyers in this industry ask

Can you do a complete knife, not just the parts?
Yes. Blade, handle scales, liners, hardware, heat treatment, finishing and assembly — all coordinated by us and delivered as a finished knife under your brand. Send a drawing or a CAD file; if you only have a sketch and a sample knife, that is usually enough to start.
What is the minimum order for a knife project?
For samples there is no minimum — we make one or two so you can handle them before committing. Production quantities are negotiated once the design is settled; most customers start at a few hundred pieces per model.
Can you anodise titanium to a specific colour?
Yes. Titanium anodising colour comes from voltage, so it is repeatable, but the exact shade also depends on the surface preparation underneath. Send a physical sample and we will match it and send a test piece before running the batch.
Will you copy an existing knife?
No. We will machine your own design, improve a design you own, or make parts to your drawing — but we do not clone another brand\u2019s product. If you send a competitor knife as a reference for the action or the finish, that is fine; the geometry has to be yours.
