Problems buyers bring us in this sector
Turned hardware is bought on price per piece and rejected on threads. These are the three conversations we have most often.
“The price per piece is too high at our quantity”
The setup is the cost, so the curve between 50 and 1,000 pieces is steep. Ask for price breaks at two or three quantities in the RFQ and we quote them all — sometimes a slightly larger run is cheaper in total than the one you asked for.
“Threads pass here and fail at our incoming inspection”
We gauge every thread GO / NO-GO and put the result in the first-article report. If your thread class needs a gauge we do not own, we buy it — say so in the RFQ so it is in the price and the lead time.
“We are managing three suppliers for one small part”
Machining, plating, passivation, black oxide and tumbling all go through us on one invoice and arrive in one shipment. You deal with one person, and if something is wrong there is one person responsible.

This is repeat turning work: modest tolerances, high consistency, and a finish that has to look the same on part one and part two thousand.
Special fasteners
Screws, studs, shoulder bolts and captive fasteners that no catalogue carries.
Fittings and adapters
Threaded fittings, barbs, couplers and port adapters in brass and stainless.
Knurled parts
Thumb screws, knobs and grips with diamond or straight knurl cut on the lathe.
Split rings and clips
Stainless split rings, retaining clips and formed wire hardware.
Spacers, standoffs and bushings
Turned and reamed to fit, in aluminium, brass, stainless and POM.
Pins, shafts and axles
Dowel pins, hinge pins and short shafts, ground where the drawing needs it.
What these parts are usually made from
Free-machining brass and 303 stainless for anything turned in quantity; titanium and 316L where corrosion or weight decides it.

Threads, consistency and cost per piece
Hardware is priced per piece, so the job is to get the setup right once and then hold it. Threads are gauged with GO / NO-GO, and we check dimensions through the run rather than only at the start.
