In July, TSTC offered a one week, free America’s Cutting Edge (ACE) CNC machining technical training summer camp for high school students. An effective program aimed at familiarizing students with the CNC machining and their further work in the sphere of manufacturing was implemented.
In this camp all the students had an opportunity to use the CNC equipments, learn about safety measures and were taught basics of coding.
The program offered useful information on the area of high precision machining and the opportunities the manufacturing sector offers to those willing to join it.
Since the reception was positive, TSTC is proposing to conduct another ACE CNC boot camp in July. Another program that is available in the college for those who want to be precision machining technology is also available in the college. To receive more information about the bootcamp or the program, one needs to get in touch with the Workforce Training and Continuing Education of TSTC.
